About Kristen L. Gale

Ms. Gale counsels clients on compliance issues as well as real estate transactions. She has broad experience in litigation and enforcement-related issues, including private cost recovery, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, underground storage tanks, CERCLA, and the Illinois Environmental Protection Act. Prior to joining Nijman Franzetti, Kristen Gale was an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, where she represented the State of Illinois in environmental enforcement matters. She began her career as a consultant for a national environmental consulting firm, where she performed environmental due diligence inspections and conducted litigation support for various environmental actions.

About Drew Nishioka

Drew Nishioka has experience in environmental litigation and enforcement defense, including toxic tort claims (PFAS, asbestos), private party actions, and actions brought under the Clean Air Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and all phases of CERCLA and the Superfund process.

He also has practiced in front of the Illinois Pollution Control Board.

Mr. Nishioka has experience in CERCLA site remediation and PRP member representation, RCRA compliance issues, NPDES permitting and municipal water systems, OSHA and EPRCA compliance and reporting, enforcement and litigation issues under the Clean Water Act and Illinois Environmental Protection Act, and PFAS litigation trends. He has conducted environmental due diligence to protect prospective purchasers from liability.

Prior to being admitted to practice law, Mr. Nishioka was a litigation paralegal, and he managed the technology training and curriculum design for several worldwide law firms. His technical expertise is valuable in all phases of a case.
