About Gregory J. DeGulis
Greg has over 35 years of experience prosecuting and defending environmental and toxic exposure claims, with significant experience in environmental cost recovery matters, insurance litigation, construction litigation and wetlands cases. Greg is widely recognized as a practitioner and litigator in the Superfund and Ohio VAP arena. Greg and his team have successfully handled several multi-million-dollar Superfund matters working on behalf of public entities, national railroads, defense contractors and tobacco companies.
Greg is defending a real estate developer involved in Coal Combustion Residuals litigation.
Greg is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (acoel.org), an invitation-only professional organization. In 2025, Greg was named by Best Lawyers in America as the “Lawyer of the Year” for Environmental Law in Cleveland. He is recognized by Chambers USA for his work in environmental law.
About Megan E. Goedeker
An integral member of MD’s litigation team, Megan has practical experience in multiple aspects of environmental litigation including drafting pleadings, motion practice, fact investigation, depositions and expert preparation. She recently deposed several witnesses and argued motions in a construction contract matter.
Megan regularly analyzes Phase I reports as part of the firm’s transactional practice. She conducted significant research on Integrated Planning, federal consent decree modifications, civil penalties under various federal environmental laws, and various questions under waste regulations including the Definition of Solid Waste, recycling provisions and hazardous waste exemptions. Megan tracks state and federal regulatory activity of proposed regulations for our clients.
Megan is a frequent speaker on hot topics in environmental law, including the impact of environmental justice concerns. While in law school, she completed a full-time capstone with the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resource Division in Washington, DC. She also worked with several legal nonprofits in Northeast Ohio throughout law school.
