Supreme Court Enters Decree Approving Settlement in Texas v. New Mexico

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court put an end to thirteen years of original jurisdiction litigation between the States of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and the United States by entering the negotiated Compact Decree Supporting the Rio Grande Compact (Decree) that protects Texas’ interests in surface water from the Lower Rio Grande.
